The Seoul-based company said its November sales rose 14.5 percent from the same period last year, with casino sales reaching about 41.58 billion won (US$37 million) for the month.
On a monthly basis, casino sales in November were reported to have increased by 15.2% compared to October.
Sales of table games rose 19.7 percent to 36.9 billion won in November, continuing a year-on-year increase in casino sales, and machine game sales also rose 14.7 percent year-on-year to 4.68 billion won, the latest data to the KRX showed.
The Korea Tourism Organization is the parent company of Grand Korea Leisure and is a Korean institution under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The game company operates three foreign-only casinos in Korea under the Seven Luck brand: two in Seoul’s capital, including Seven Luck Casino Seoul Gangnam and Seven Luck Casino Millennium Seoul Hilton, one in the southern port city of Busan and one in Lotte, Busan.
Casino sales in the first 11 months of this year edged up 0.4 percent from the same period last year to about 446.35 billion won, according to the company.
Table game sales from January to November were about 394.18 billion won, up 2.8% from the same period last year, while machine game sales fell about 14.8% to 52.17 billion won in the 11 months
Grand Korea Leisure’s third-quarter net profit reportedly fell 21.0% from the same period last year to close to 26.37 billion won.
