Pro Basketball SK defeats Hyundai Mobis for second straight win

Seoul SK has won its second consecutive game with a dominating victory over the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis.

SK defeated the Hyundai Mobis 105-76 on Friday at Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in the 2023-24 regular season of the Korean Basketball Association (KBA). With a 28-18 record, SK (No. 4) moved to within 0.5 games of third-place Changwon LG. 바카라사이트 Hyundai Mobis snapped a three-game losing streak and remained in sixth place (24-22).

SK jumped out to an early lead with an even performance from its players on the night. Five players scored in double figures, including Jamil Warney (24 points, 8 rebounds), Oh Se-geun (16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists), Ahn Young-joon (15 points), Oh Jae-hyun (10 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists), and Leon Williams (13 points, 8 rebounds).

SK came out firing in the first quarter. The team racked up points on the fast break, starting with Oh Jae-hyun, and ended the first quarter with a 34-23 lead. In the second quarter, the team extended its lead with the help of Oh, Choi Buk-kyung, and Leone, and ended the quarter with a 58-40 lead after a fastbreak basket by Ahn Young-joon and a three-pointer by Heo Il-young.

In the third quarter, Hyundai Mobis’ offense came alive and cut the deficit to 67-56, but the team picked up the pace again with just over three minutes left in the quarter and extended the lead to 80-63. SK continued their one-sided offense in the final quarter and cruised to an easy victory.

With the comfortable victory, SK will head to the East Asian Super League (EASL) quarterfinals in the Philippines on March 8 with a light step. They will face Anyang Jungkwanjang.

Hyundai Mobis got 19 points and eight rebounds from Gage Prim, 12 points from Jang Jae-seok, 11 points from Miguel Okzon, and 10 points from Kebe Aluma, but were unable to cope with SK’s quick offense and fell to their knees.

Busan KCC won 117-85 against Goyang Sono at Goyang Sono Arena in Gyeonggi. It was the team’s highest point total of the season as they overcame the loss of Song Kyo-chang and Choi Jun-yong to injury. The previous season high was 116 points set by Hyundai Mobis on Jan. 28 of this year against Samsung in Seoul.

Heo Woong scored 31 points, including five three-pointers, while Ragan-ah added 26 points and Lee Seung-hyun chipped in 20 points to pace the victory. KCC, which improved to 24-20 with the win, remained in fifth place.
