Lee opened her era by winning three individual title this year.
Lee, who only plays in Korea, has surpassed “foreign” players in world rankings based on her outstanding performance.
Lee Ye-won ranked 34th in the world ranking of the LPGA Tour, which was announced on the 12th, up two notches from last week. Choi Hye-jin (24, Lotte) ranked 35th, but as “major queen” Jeon In-ji (29, KB Financial Group) fell three notches, Lee Ye-won outpaced the two players playing in the LPGA in the world ranking. Among the top 30 players are Ko Jin-young (28, Soler, 6th), Kim Hyo-joo (28, Lotte, 7th), Shin Ji-ae (15th), Yang Hee-young (34, Woori Financial Group, 16th), and Yoo Hae-ran (22, Daol Financial Group, 30th), and Park Min-ji (25, NH Investment & Securities) ranked 32nd.
Lee Ye-won, who won the Rookie of the Year award last year, made her debut at the Lotte Rent-A-Car Women’s Open, the opening game of this season, and has emerged as a KLPGA star by accumulating three wins at the Doosan Engineering & Construction Weave Championship in August and the Hite Jinro Championship in October in major competitions. Based on this, she ranked first in prize money (1.424.81 billion won) and ranked first in the grand prize with outstanding performance of making top 10 13 times without missing a cut in 29 competitions. She also ranked first in average at-bats (70.70 shots) to win three gold medals. She has won three individual titles in four years since Choi Hye-jin in 2019, and is the ninth in Korean history.
