The Korea Sports Council is recruiting participants for the ‘2023 Basic Sports Camp’ from January 25 to February 5. The ‘2023 Basic Sports Camp’ is one of the basic sports development projects promoted by the Korea Olympic Committee and provides 100 participants in grades 3 to 6 (as of 2024) with the opportunity to experience basic sports and measure basic physical fitness to determine their aptitude for each sport and learn various technical elements.

The camp will be held at the Jincheon National Athletes Village from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 24th, and will include swimming, gymnastics, track and field, ice skating, and skiing experience events for beginners in basic sports, as well as a basic physical fitness measurement program for participants’ strength, agility, and cardiopulmonary endurance.

The results of the measurements are provided to help participants develop their sporting characteristics and predict their development potential, and a tour program for parents of participants is also conducted. Participation is free of charge, and recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis for 20 participants per event (100 participants in five events).
