JANG YUBIN FINISHES SECOND IN MEN’S GOLF 2R TEAM LEADS IN TEAM COMPETITION

Jang Yubin (Korea Gymnastics University) is tied for second place after the second round of the men’s golf competition at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games .Jang shot a 5-under 67 with one eagle, six birdies, one bogey and one double-bogey on the second day of competition at the West Lake International Golf Course (Par 72-7,280 yards) in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, on Monday .With an interim total of 16-under-par 128, Zhang Yubin returns to the tournament in sole possession of second place, six shots behind leader Daichi Ko (Hong Kong).Zhang, who held a one-stroke lead the day before, dropped five strokes on the day but lost the top spot to Ko, who fired a 12-under-par 60 in the second round. Cho Woo-young (Korea Gymnastics University) is tied for fourth at 14-under 130, while Lim Sung-jae and Kim Siwoo, who play on the United States Professional Golf (PGA) Tour, are tied for seventh and tied for ninth at 13-under and 12-under, respectively .In the team competition, which combines the scores of the top three players from the same country, South Korea shot a 44-under-par total to take a six-stroke lead over Hong Kong, which was at 38-under.Leading the way by six strokes was 2000-born Ko, who turned pro in February of this year and won an Asian Tour event in March. He also tied for 50th at the Shinhan Donghae Open in Incheon earlier this month .On the men’s side, Korea, which features PGA Tour players Lim Sung-jae and Kim Si-woo, was expected to sweep the individual and team titles, but Ko opened up a six-shot lead and will have to play catch-up after the third round. Korea won silver in the individual event and bronze in the team event at the last Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang in 2018. Japan won both the individual 스포츠토토존 and team titles.
