Its Last age group competition AG goal scorer Cho Young-wook

Cho Young-wook (24, Gimcheon Managing Director), striker of the Hangzhou Asian Games national team

expressed his determination to win the tournament for the third time in a row.

The Asian Games soccer team, led by coach Hwang Seon-hong, will head to Hangzhou, the battle site, via Incheon Airport on the 16th.

Prior to this, Cho Young-wook said at a press conference held at the National Team Training Center (NFC) in Paju, Gyeonggi-do on the 14th

Because this is the last training before leaving the country, I am preparing with a focus on the game

So far, the lack of scoring ability among strikers has been cited as a chronic weakness of the Asian Games national team.  지울프-토토

In response, Cho Young-wook said, “It is something that the internal players are well aware of that they are receiving such evaluations,” and added, “I plan to play by attacking and defending as a team rather than individual abilities.”

As he is currently ranked second in scoring (13 goals) in the K2 League and is showing his best sense of goal, he is expected to perform well in this Asian Games as well.

Jo Young-wook raised his voice and said, “I think my pace is pretty good right now, so my confidence has increased.”

Cho Young-wook is a member of the runner-up Shinhwa team at the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. He played for national teams at all levels and age groups.

In fact, this Asian Games is the last age-group competition for him, and he gritted his teeth, saying, “I played a lot in the age-group national team

but since this is the last competition, I have a strong desire to finish well.”

Ahead of the tournament, ace Lee Kang-in (22, Paris Saint-Germain) is delayed in joining, causing anxiety. Coach Hwang Seon-hong said

There is no coordination with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) regarding the timing of his joining,” and added, “We decided to contact him yesterday about whether he has recovered from his injury, but there has been no official response yet.”

Lee Kang-in recently returned from a thigh injury and is improving his condition to participate in the Asian Games.

However, PSG appears to be placing a condition on delaying the timing of Lee Kang-in’s selection for the Asian Cup

which will be held in January next year, if he is selected early for the Asian Games.

Cho Young-wook must have a sense of responsibility that he must fill Lee Kang-in’s vacancy well before he joins.

However, he seemed unconcerned, saying, “It is true that Kangin’s role is important, but we are not making separate preparations for the case where Kangin is not present.”

He then said, “When Kangin comes in, he will play accordingly, but the coach is currently emphasizing teamwork.

The players are also focusing on that aspect.”

Cho Young-wook, who is known to be a close friend of Lee Kang-in, said, “I keep asking (Lee Kang-in) when he will join the national team.

Kang-in also asks me what the team atmosphere is like.”

He added, “I keep telling him to come quickly, and he said he will come as soon as possible.

As the national team’s leading striker, he did not hide his desire to score. Cho Young-wook said, “Of course, as a striker, I’m thinking about scoring goals, but I’m not trying to set a big goal from the beginning. My personal goal is around 3 goals.”

What did Hwang Seon-hong ask of Jo Young-wook? Jo Young-wook said, “He always tells not only me, but all the strikers, to create a situation where we can lead as quickly as possible.”

At the same time, he explained, “As he is a former attacker, he asks for more aggressive play and emphasizes finding ways to think on your own.”

As it is the last age-group competition, the will to win is strong.

Cho Young-wook said, “I have a strong belief that we must run for the team championship first,” and added, “We previously won two consecutive tournaments, so I think we should continue that record.”
