The official opening ceremony was attended by more than 500 local leaders and project partners, as well as official representatives, including Gateway Casino, Mayor Don Iveson and Secretary Deron Bilus. The newly opened Starlight Casino Edmonton joins Grand Villa Edmonton, making it one of the best entertainment destinations not only in the city but also in the province. Two owners, Gateway Casino, have invested nearly C$90 million in the city’s economy. It also created more than 550 new jobs in Edmonton’s job market.
