It was an inexcusable defeat.

The women’s professional volleyball team lost 0-3 (21-25 22-25 17-25) in the first round of the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League against GS Caltex at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on Tuesday.

The team had lost its first game of the season, a 3-0 defeat against IBK IBK on April 17. The team attempted to win two straight on the day, but failed.

It was a bum room party. They poured in 20 kills, twice as many as their opponent’s 10. They took the lead, tied the game, and lost the game. Even when they needed to fight back, they were hampered by errors.

She fell one dig short of the triple crown (three or more digs, blocks, and serves in a match). Outside hitter Kang So-hwi added three blocks to support 14 kills (47.83% attacking success rate).
