2034 World Cup Solo Candidate Saudi Arabia Starts Official Bidding

Saudi Arabia, the sole candidate to host the 2024 FIFA World Cup, has launched an official bid.

As Saudi Arabia is the only country that has expressed its intention to host the 2034 World Cup, it is highly likely that it will be held in effect. Saudi Arabia is the only candidate as Australia and New Zealand, which had prepared to co-host the event, gave up hosting the event just before the bidding.

As a result, Saudi Arabia will receive the right to host after a formal bid without a competitor and a resolution at the FIFA General Assembly to be held at the end of this year.

The Saudi Football Association announced its logo and slogan on Monday (Korea time) and entered the official bid to win the honor. The slogan is “Growing. Together.”

“This slogan means a bond between the kingdom, the people, and world football,” Saudi Football Association President Al Misehal said. “We will tell our soccer story to the world through this World Cup.”

If Saudi Arabia confirms the 2034 World Cup, the World Cup will be held again in the Middle East for the first time in 12 years after the 2022 Qatar World Cup. 안전놀이터

Meanwhile, the 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 2030 World Cup, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay will participate as special hosts and Portugal, Spain, and Morocco will co-host the 2030 World Cup.
