Nevada Gaming Commission May Allow Players More Online Poker Options
The Nevada State Gaming Commission is exploring new options regarding online poker in Nevada. According to the most recent information, games between players could begin in 2025.
Online poker is available in Nevada:
Z4Poker LLC and MGM Resorts Interactive LLC recently got the opportunity to extend their licenses, and since the game has already been approved, they will be offering these services.
MGM games will probably be developed by its affiliate BetMGM.
Both companies hope to bring the game to market by April 2025.
As reported by Review-Journal, Z4 founder Eric Colvin demonstrated the new system. He showed that the game can be played on other devices as well as multiple tables at the same time.
Player Steve Drucker said: “What poker players have at the moment is a miserable case of not running a poker site. We’re struggling with customer service representatives who lack great promotions, don’t have enough players, and lack of training in friendly and efficient service skills.”
Online poker became popular in the 2010s, when five companies wanted to launch online poker rooms. However, former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission and Governor Brian Sandoval approved Assembly Bill 114, the first step toward building an online poker room, in 2013.
The first to offer online poker tables were Station Casino, Caesars Entertainment, which launched the famous WSOP, and Michael Gogan. However, WSOP was the only one that survived.
The main reason most online poker services were unsuccessful was because Nevada’s population was small and players could not compete with players outside of Nevada. Eventually, contracts were signed with Delaware and New Jersey.
Z4 and MGM’s plan:
This is the 14th time the license has been renewed, as Z4 and MGM were involved in the entire process. The waiver is not expected to be extended further, according to the governing board.
Z4 currently has around 75,000 customers in the online poker market, and it is now ready to serve at a real price. However, it is not yet known when the game will be tested.
Meanwhile, MGM has successful offline resorts across the state, and it’s time for online play to be integrated into the service.
The commission also approved a temporary license for Moulin Rouge, located at 840 W. Bonanza Road. That means United Coin’s Century Gaming Technologies will be able to place trailers on the site and provide customers with 16 slot machines starting May 14. 슬롯사이트 순위
