Leaders of Mohegan Sun and the Mohegan Tribe gathered today with guests, including Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and AZ Corporation

A ceremonial topping-off to celebrate the progress of Mohegan Sun’s latest expansion project that will extend employment, tourism and revenues in Southeastern Connecticut. Over 300 signatures adorned the steel beam from ironworkers, to state and local officials and Mohegan Sun and Tribe management.

In total, the new Exposition Center will stretch 240,000 net square feet, and highlighted features include a 20,000-square-foot ballroom, expansive pre-function space, a 132,000-square-foot Expo Center, 15 meeting rooms, 3,600 square feet of outdoor gathering space that features a wrap-around terrace, a 1,260-square-foot executive boardroom with its own outdoor area and 20,000 square feet of additional entertainment tenant space, further diversifying the center’s mixed-use program.

As the $80 million project nears its 2018 completion, 425 total jobs will have been created through construction, permanent roles and by way of related support. Additional features of the Mohegan Sun’s Expo Center will involve free parking with ample loading docks and drive-in access from four grade level doors, a 5,361-net-square-foot kitchen, clerestory windows, a mobile box office, the latest technology, free Wi-Fi, contiguous exhibit space and interior finishes that incorporate the Mohegan Tribe’s cultural history, as can be seen throughout the whole property.홀짝게임
