Inna Yoon leads KLPGA Tour’s Hana Financial Championship 2R
Yoon In In held the lead for the second consecutive day at the Hana Financial Group Championship on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour ($1.5 billion in prize money).
Yoon In-na carded two birdies and a bogey in the second round of the tournament at Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club (par-72, 6,689 yards) in Incheon on Sunday, shooting a 1-under 71.
Her 8-under-par 136 total puts her in sole possession of first place, one stroke ahead of the next two players. Ina Yoon and Hong Hyun-ji were tied for first place in the first round the day before.
Yoon was looking for her second victory of the season after winning the Samdasu Masters in Jeju in August.
After carding seven birdies the day before, Yoon In In had a frustrating second round, recording only one bogey until the 15th hole (par-5).
However, on the 16th hole (par-3), Yoon hit her tee shot to about 1 meter from the hole for her first birdie, and on the final 18th hole (par-4), where she was tied for second place, she sank a 3-meter birdie putt to finish the second round in sole possession of first place.
“I’m happy to finish with two birdies on the last three holes,” Yoon said in a post-match interview. ”I missed a lot of putts because they were 10 to 20 centimeters short, but tomorrow I’ll pay close attention to the different green speeds and adjust my putt distance.”
“They say that winning is a gift, and if I’m ready, it will come like a gift,” he said, adding, ‘I hope I can finish well in this kind of competition until the end of the tournament.’ He expressed his determination for the third and fourth rounds.
Hong Hyun-ji, the first-round co-leader, birdied the 17th hole (par-5) to take a one-stroke lead, but her par putt from about 1.5 meters on the 18th hole hit the hole and she lost the top spot to Yoon In-na, who birdied the hole.
In a tie for second at 7-under 137, Hong was joined by Park, who has three wins this year, Lee Da-yeon, last year’s winner, and Sung Yoo-jin, who plays on the LPGA Tour.
Hwang Yoo-min and Park Bo-gyeom are tied for sixth at 6-under 138, two shots behind leader Yoon In-na.
Lydia Ko (NZL), who won gold at this year’s Paris Olympics and went on to win the AIG Women’s Open, her first major, is tied for 17th at 3-under 141 with Lee and Ye Won Lee.
They are five shots off the lead, a gap that can be made up in the third and fourth rounds.
Park Hyun-kyung, who is bidding for her fourth win of the season on the KLPGA Tour alongside Park, Lee, Ye Won and Bae, is tied for 11th at 4-under 140, alongside Noh Seung-hee and Choi Ye-rim.
Sixty-four players advanced to the third round at 2-over-par while three-over-par Kim Hyo-ju, four-over-par Patti Thawatanakit (Thailand), Bae So-hyun and Moon Jung-min missed the cut. 에볼루션 바카라사이트
