G3Newswire reported that Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited, known as Melco Crown Entertainment Limited before its name change in early April, saw its second-quarter net profit rise 21% year-over-year to $1.29 billion. The Hong Kong-listed company also reported a 76% increase in operating profit to $127.44 million over the three-month period and an 18.5% increase in net profit to $36.47 million.
