CJ ENM’s sports channel tvN SPORTS announced on the 22nd that it signed a broadcasting rights contract for KBL (Professional Basketball) and then EASL.
EASL is a competition to determine the strongest basketball team in East Asia, and it is the third season this year since the first competition began in 2022. The domestic participating teams in the EASL 2024-2025 season will include last season’s KBL winner Busan KCC and runner-up Suwon KT. This season will open on the 2nd of next month and will be held in two groups until February 12, 2025, with the Final Four, where the top two teams from each group will advance, on March 7 and 9, 2025.
“The signing of a new media partnership with CJ ENM has made it easier to provide EASL broadcasts to Korean viewers,” EASL CEO Henry Kerins said. “CJ ENM will allow anyone to watch EASL games anywhere in Busan and Suwon.”
Koo Kyo-eun, head of CJ ENM’s sports business division, said, “I’m happy to broadcast EASL on the tvN SPORTS channel,” adding, “Please watch where the East Asian basketball champion will be this season and through tvN SPORTS.”
